Dear Parent/Guardian
I can't quite believe that we have reached the October break!  It's been quite a term so far.  Whilst there have been many challenges, our pupils have responded magnificently.  They have simply got on with things and have been a pleasure to work with over the past 8 weeks or so.
We haven't been able to hold our Prizegivings in the normal way, but we look forward to celebrating the efforts and successes of our pupils in our virtual award ceremonies at the start of November.  We will try to ensure that families are able to see these online or via social media.
The recent announcement about the cancellation of National 5 examinations next year now provides us with the opportunity to plan how pupils in S4 and S5 will be assessed over the course of this year.  Further information on this will be issued to parents over the next few weeks.
You should have received a letter intimating that, although Parent' Nights cannot take place at the moment, you will be kept informed of your son/daughter's progress via monthly tracking reports with the next one of these issued at the start of November.
Finally, thank you once again for your continuing support.  I hope that you and your family manage to have a restful break and we look forward to welcoming our pupils back to school on Monday 19th October.
Yours faithfully
PAUL McLAUGHLIN
