Curriculum for Excellence

Curriculum for Excellence has been introduced to replace the 5-14 structure from Primary through to Secondary education. Its aim is to provide a Broad General Education for each and every pupil in Scotland. Full details about Curriculum for Excellence and its place in Scottish schools can be found at the Education Scotland website.

Here in St. Ninian’s High School, we are already making huge strides in our Curriculum for Excellence delivery and development. This page will be regularly updated with news and further details to help our parent’s gain an insight to Curriculum for Excellence in St Ninian’s High School.

Should parents wish to share any thoughts, comments or suggestions about this page or any matter relating to CfE, please do not hesitate to email us at office@st-ninians.e-dunbarton.sch.uk.

Parents can also let Education Scotland know of any ideas for future topic development via the Education Scotland website – www.educationscotland.gov.uk/cfebriefings.

Education Scotland's most recent document on Broad General Education is available to view here.
