Enterprise in Education

Determined to Succeed is the Scottish Executive's strategy for enterprise in education which aims to prepare young people for the world of work through enterprising and entrepreneurial learning, work-based vocational and appropriately focused careers education.

Determined to Succeed is about changing the attitudes of young people so that they have a better chance of realising their full potential and contributing to a smart successful Scotland whether as an employee, employer or entrepreneur.

It involves young people, their parents and teachers, businesses and local authorities.

The DtS team in East Dunbartonshire Council and teaching staff in St Ninian's High School work together in partnership with parents and the business community to ensure that young people in St Ninian's High School have the best possible experience of enterprise in education, to help them develop self-confidence, self-reliance and the ambition to achieve their goals in work and in life.
