St Ninians High School HMI Report March 2008

St Ninians High School Follow On Report March 2010

You can access these as well as other school reports via the HMI website at

Overall, 17 indicators of quality are used in the inspection process with each being graded from 6 (excellent) to 1(unsatisfactory). A summary of the grades awarded to St. Ninian's High School is given on page 13 of the report. As you can see we have achieved:

  • 3 excellent grades
  • 10 very good grades
  • 3 good grades
  • 1 adequate grade (for accommodation and facilities)

Given that HMIe only award an excellent grade on the occasions where there is evidence of "outstanding" or "sector leading" practice, I am particularly pleased that 3 of our indicators of quality have been graded at this level.

Overall, this report is one of the best secondary school reports that has been published over the past 2 years. All HMIe reports are available on their website (see link above).

As a result of the high performance and the strong record of improvement in the school, HM Inspectors will make no further reports in connection with this inspection.

I would like to thank parents and staff for their continued support of the school as I have no doubt that this excellent report could not have been achieved without everyone's ongoing help and co-operation.
